From the kick-off of the 2009 road racing season at Trade Zone, the Team has seen continued success on the road every weekend. All indicators point towards more of the same for the rest of the season. A wealth of talented racers have joined the already formidable contingency of seasoned team veterans. Several racers have upgraded from men's CAT 5 to CAT 4 and we now have powerhouse CAT 3 racers brandishing the pink on both the men's and women's teams! We've been attracting some serious attention from rival teams and inspiring some rather colorful, competition-inciting commentary from the race announcers. Our competition is taking notice that Team BBC is clearly a force to be reckoned with. The Team's laudable race record has been made possible through a no-nonsense team approach to group training, as well as through the comprehensive training and coaching assistance so capably provided by Krista and Chris. Let's not forget the countless hours and miles of individual training we've all undertaken on the road, and sometimes the basement, all of which has aided in developing our tenacious squad of dedicated road racers. As the road season slowly winds down, many teammates will take advantage of the fitness gains they've realized and make the transition to cyclocross and MTB, where "fear the pink" will certainly be running through the minds of our competition. Welcome to all of our new racers and congratulations to everyone for a great start to the racing season. Here's to continued success on and off the road!!!

Team BBC had a strong showing at Rockburn Reloaded in Howard County,. We voluteered at this race and had 7 racers across the beginner and sport categories. A 1st and 2nd place in the men's beginner category and a 2nd in the women's beginner category were the story of the day. A great day of racing and a fast course. Looking forward to the cross race in the fall!

Updated 03/06/09 by Mike KralecCyclocross season is over. We had a great turnout for the season and introduced many new riders into the discipline. Our racers this year in Men's C managed a few top 5 finishes, more top 10's and scored well overall. Our "Cross Boss" Matt Hennessey did well in his Men's B races and kept the new 'cross racers up on the ins and outs of Cyclocross. Most of us are sad the season is over, but happy to have made it through and looking forward to next year!
